Firaxis Games Intros Behind-the-scenes Podcast

The podcast also features a song that promises to be a new jazz standard, Sid’s Minute.

Will the Next President be a Podcaster?

It’s looking more and more like podcasting will play a big part in the next US presidential election. Politicians are treating bloggers seriously, politicians are podcasting and political sites are adding podcasts to their offerings.An example of this trend is the announcement that Senator John Edwards has signed on to be the keynote speaker at Gnomedex 6, being held in Seattle June 29-July 1st. The senator is a long-standing supporter of technology, including podcasting and blogging, and has pioneered political podcasting, creating both audio and video podcasts.
Nick Jr. Promoting New Animated Series With Video Podcast

A total of 10 music videos and character segments will premiere over the course of the 11-week pre-launch period.
SolidSpace Intros Podcasting Hosting Service

SolidSpace, a web hosting service provider, announced today SolidCasts, a Podcast Management System for individuals and small businesses.The SolidCasts system lets users upload and manage audio and video files for podcasts. SolidSpace hosts clients’ podcasts and generates a line of code that users can publish to their Web site or blog. Site visitors are then able to subscribe to RSS and iTunes feeds of the podcast episodes.
SolidCasts also lets users assign iTunes categories to their podcasts and submit their feed to be included in the iTunes Directory.

Flushed iPod mini Clogs South Bay University Toilets for Months

A pink iPod Mini, just four inches long, flushed down the toilet at the South Bay College Arts and Sciences building has finally been removed, after clogging pipes for the entire spring semester and leading to thousands of dollars of maintenance work.The iPod was accidentally flushed by a student and got stuck in such a way that maintenance crews could not get it out. They tried to break the iPod into pieces, but that failed. One maintenance worker called the iPod mini “indestructible”.
Next, a water company blasted water into the pipe. This worked, but caused geysers to burst from the second floor toilets.
The crews finally retrieved the iPod from a sewage disposal point outside of the building by using a piece of rebar.
