Featured Podcasts

We've had requests from many podcasters that are interested in getting their podcast featured on the Podcasting News home page.

We can only feature 10-15 podcasts on the home page at one time, because of space limitations. To give more podcasts exposure, we're planning on rotating the list on a regular basis.

To Get Featured at Podcasting News:

• Make sure you're listed in the Podcast Directory.
• Use an RSS 2.0 feed, with MP3 enclosures. (These are the standards for podcasting. Alternate versions in other formats are great, but we feature RSS 2.0/MP3 format feeds, because they'll work for everybody.). The RSS feed should have an informative description for the podcast Channel, and good descriptions for each podcast. You can check this by clicking on the "View Podcast Details" link in your directory listing.
• Update your podcast on a regular basis.  We want featured podcasts to be current, so that listeners get exposed to interesting and timely podcasts. You also should have at least three or four episodes complete. That way, if a listener likes your show, there's more for them to check out.
• Link to Podcasting News or the Podcast Directory from your podcast page. You scratch our backs, we'll scratch yours! Here's a couple of suggested options:

Because we want people to get a positive first impression of podcasting, we will feature podcasts at our discretion.
